Notable Highlight, Sheer Illusion, Uncovered Truth

These clay vessels reveal my exploration of identity and truth with respect to physical appearances. They are hand-formed, individual and like people, each with a story to tell.

What we wear presents an image to the world of who we are, or who we think we are, based on such things as style, colour, length, texture and type of material our outfits are made from.

But this can be an illusion. As soon as we put clothes on our bodies we are able to manipulate our image, covering up perceived flaws, highlighting parts or fitting in with the current rules of fashion.

It is natural to want to feel important, to be noticed by those around us, and yet how often do we get to know what is at the heart of any human being? Can we uncover the truth of who we really are?
